Our Philosophy of Hospitality on Ischia since 1975
The most beautiful moment? When a guest says:” I am going home.”
For us, welcoming guests does not simply mean handing over a key.
Every arrival is a meeting, a moment we like to live with calm and sincerity.
We often wait for our guests on the bench, under the shade of an olive tree. We see them walking up the path and go to meet them, with the same joy as greeting a long-awaited friend.
With a touch of pride, we show the garden: the vineyard that gifts generous grapes, the basil and aromatic herbs available to flavor a simple meal. Then the view widens to the well-kept lawns, the lush cycads, and the crystal-blue pools, surrounded by sunbeds and small tables built with care and love.
Finally, the moment comes to hand over the apartment. I open the door gently, step aside to let our guests enter, and with a gesture invite them to open the balcony: there they discover the view of vineyards and mountains, or the sea and the Mediterranean garden.
Because here you don’t just find a bed or a private bathroom. You find the possibility to live your holiday at your own rhythm.
That’s why our accommodations — whether for two, three, or four people — are larger than average and equipped with kitchens: from a small two-burner hob to a full kitchen with all you need to prepare meals in total freedom.
Constant, yet discreet presence
Our presence is never intrusive, but guests know they are not alone.
They know they can reach me by phone at any time, even at night if necessary — my phone is always on.
This gives a sense of safety, without taking away the freedom to enjoy the stay as they wish.
The next day
The magic, however, happens the very next day.
In the morning we see them step out of their apartment more relaxed, maybe with a cup of coffee in hand, ready to explore the island or simply to enjoy the quiet of the garden.
And little by little, they begin to feel part of this place: some pause to pick a leaf of basil, some relax under the shade on a sunbed, some lose themselves in the blue of the pool.
That’s when the most beautiful transformation happens: when, coming back from the sea or a walk, the guest points to the apartment and smiles, saying:
“I’m going home.”
And that is when we know we have done our job well.
Because Villa Olivia and Le Dimore are not just places to stay, but spaces where you feel welcomed, free, and at ease… just like home.
And anyone who has already stayed with us knows it well, and can confirm it.
