Self catering in Ischia: a dream that has lasted for 50 years
It was 1975 when my parents opened the doors of Villa Olivia.
It wasn’t a traditional hotel, nor just a holiday home: it was the attempt to give shape to a different dream.
The idea was simple yet revolutionary: offering larger spaces, with a kitchenette, a table to gather around, and above all the freedom to manage your own time without the limits of fixed schedules.
For those years, it was an almost visionary proposal: to give families the possibility of living togetherness, perhaps cooking a meal to share, or simply enjoying the comfort of an independent apartment after a day at the beach.
This was the beginning of a story of hospitality that continues today.

Freedom as a form of hospitality
Self-catering is not just a formula.
It is a way of welcoming, respecting everyone’s rhythms and needs. It means offering guests the chance to feel free, independent, and at the same time surrounded by the warmth of a familiar atmosphere.

Yesterday and today
Today, after fifty years, that spirit is still alive and now extends also to Le Dimore: three independent apartments, located about 500 meters above Villa Olivia, surrounded by olive trees and aromatic plants of the Mediterranean maquis.
Our studios and two-room apartments still preserve that same idea: spaces designed to be lived in, kitchens ready to be used, and terraces where one can enjoy peace and the green all around.

The heart of Villa Olivia
What has always made the difference is not only the comfort of the apartments, but the atmosphere you breathe: a simple and genuine hospitality, where every guest is not just a number but becomes part of our story.
